Oudtshoorn is the proud host of the annual Toy Run of motor cycle clubs, taking place on Sunday, 18 November, at the Oudtshoorn Correctional Services Grounds.
The end of the year is often a time of gift-giving for families and friends around the world.
On Saturday (3 November) bikers and other participants will be at the Pick n Pay Parking Lot with bins for donations, prompting the public to make donations, no matter how big or small, for less fortunate children.
On 18 November participating motorcycle clubs and other bikers will gather at 10:00 at the Pick n Pay parking lot from where a mass drive will take place to the Correctional Services Grounds.
There gifts and snacks will be handed to the children. There will also be stands with food and drinks.
This Toy Run tradition is some 36 years old and has been hosted by various cities and towns throughout the country. The proud hosts are the South Western District Motorcycling Association, but it is also supported by many of the biking clubs and members of the public.
This spirit of giving has prompted tens of thousands of motorcyclists from biking clubs and chapters around South Afri-ca to join forces and spoil less fortunate children in the local communities at the annual Toy Run.
