Swedish Rotarians visit Oudtshoorn

A group of nine Rotarians from Sweden visited the Oudtshoorn Rotary Club from Friday last week until Tuesday. On Friday evening during sunset and later they were entertained on a “braai’ at a lapa on the game farm Kareebos, overlooking the Swartberg Mountains. The Swedish visitors were also taken on a game drive on Kareebos (photo right). During their stay they also visited the Cango Caves, Karusa Wines, the Cango Wildlife Ranch, Safari Ostrich Farm, Cango Ostrich Farm, (where they were served ostrich steaks) and the Klein Karoo Ostrich Emporium. The visit to Oudtshoorn was part of a two week visit to South Africa. The Swedes general consensus was that the South African wines they drank during their visit, especially the Pinotage, was very good.
