Oudtshoorn Jikkai-Karate Club at the SA National Championships in Durban

The Oudtshoorn Jikkai-Do Karate Club’s team, under the auspices of Sensei Avril Maarman, formed part of the Western Cape Karate Team that competed in the SA National Championships in Durban. The team is front from left Gio Bruintjies, Haylee Cedras and Sarah-Jane Lewis, and back from left Shane May, Sheree Constable-Samson, Daetania de Laan, Candace Maarman, JP Le Roux and Lleythan Smith. Sarah-Jane won a silver in medal the Kumite for girls 10-11 u.30kg and  Lleythan a gold medal in the Kumite for junior boys u.57kg.
